Hello all! I've been on MaryJanesFarm forum for many years (5 to be exact) but am just now heading over here to the outpost dispatch! I look forward to meeting some of the people who may not post over in the other area!

I live in Acton, IN (near Indianapolis) with my husband and dog, Kyle. We just purchased a vintage camper and are going to be restoring this winter/next spring so that we can go camping next year. I'm trying to get out in the air and mingle with nature a little more!

Hiya Rachel, so glad to see you over here at the Outpost. I think it's great that you're working "from the ground up" to get your little camping caravan ready. Makes it all the more special!

I'm very excited about restoring our camper. She's a 1974 New Paris Traveler. We have no idea how to even haul one yet! :) And the used SUV we bought needs lots of work before it's ready to haul her anywhere. My grandfather is going to be doing the inside restoration, woodwork and plumbing, and then we're going to do all the inside and outside painting. So much to learn!

Check out my camper restoration! http://www.thecatholicwife.com/our-project.html

Hi RachelLeigh! What fun, and how happy for your vintage trailer to get some TLC. We have a 1975 airstream that's "retired". We don't haul it, just enjoy it where it is. They make great second homes. :) Hope you get miles of fun out of yours!

Welcome to the Outpost, Rachel Leigh! You are going to love all the camping possibilities out there! Fresh air is awesome! I always feel like I get a full lung detox at the top of the mountain!
