For anyone who uses a well for irrigation, here's a site that might be of interest:
http://ogw01.er.usgs.gov/Net/OGWNetwork.asp?ncd=rtn
Click your state on the map (the link from the pull down list was broken).
Click on the individual well to get a lot of interesting realtime data.

Not sure, but we've gotten a solid week of heavy rain, and there are big puddles all over the neighboring fields. The creeks and ponds are bank-full too. We sure needed it.

Thanks for the link Jen! I wish there was a monitored well closer to where I live. It is always interesting to see how our actions can change something so important as ground water. I work for a horse ranch and we often lose pressure on our well because of the neighbors and their watering practices. It can make it hard when you count on a resource to function and it isn't there. I hope we have a good winter to help replenish the ground water supplies.

I wonder how long it takes for a really good rainfall or a good winter to impact the ground water supplies?
