My whole family is going on a camping trip in May and I am looking for some ideas for kid outdoor crafts. There will be 8 grandkids and I have been appointed the craft person, lol!

I think I will take some tape along and some yarn so that they can make their own nature bracelets. I have thought about leaf prints, but dont really care to pack paint. I can just imagine paint spilling all over the inside of my backpack...ewww!

I thought about taking a blank tshirt for each kiddo and some fabric crayons so that they can draw their favorite part of the trip on their tshirt.

Just thought I would see if any of you have some ideas.

Have them go on a rock hunt and find some polished rocks along a river bank. Once they have found their “special” rock- have them create a “pet” rock. If you brought a bottle of glue and a small pack of construction paper they could glue bits of leaves, dirt, lichen, moss or whatever to the construction paper to make a take home habitat for their pet rock.
