Posted - May 21 2008 : 2:04:35 PM Since 2002, the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation’s mission has been to stop the loss of women and girls from ovarian cancer. Over 80 percent of the money HERA raises, goes to research, education, raising awareness, and to help women and their families battling the disease.
Centered on community, celebrating wellness, challenging oneself, and giving back, registration for the 2nd Annual Colorado Climb4Life June 13-15, 2008 is underway. The event is sponsored by REI, the Boulder Rock Club, and Colorado Mountain School and is open to women, men, and children of all ages. No climbing experience is necessary. The registration fee is $65 and participation is limited, so register now at www.climb4lifeco08.kintera.org.
Last year HERA raised almost $20,000. This year the goal is $50,000, which will go towards funding cutting-edge research and raising awareness. Join HERA to help in these the efforts, and help save women’s lives.
You can also help support HERA's efforts through their Partners In Action. Go to http://www.herafoundation.org/partners_detail.cfm to view and purchase items from the PIA program - up to 15% of each sale goes back to HERA.
