Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 06:07:39 AM We're being warned about a snow storm headed our way. 4-6" Between now and tomorrow morning! Yippee! I just bought new boots too. Supposed to keep me warm and dry to -50 degrees. I'll be able to sled without complaining about my feet.

Posted - Dec 04 2008 : 11:49:15 AM Hee, hee - JoAnn, you snow party pooper! I have lived in places with a bunch of snow, but never for long enough to grow weary of it. We had around 3 or 4 feet in southern WA one year, and it was exciting except for the fact that we had to shovel trails through it for our old dog. And when we had to drive 30 miles down to the hospital in a midnight blizzard when I was in labor, my hub & mom weren't too thrilled (I was cool as a cucumber!).

Posted - Dec 01 2008 : 03:32:01 AM This morning we awoke to about 3". Since it stayed well above freezing yesterday it just melted upon hitting the ground. Temps dropped during the night and it sure looks pretty outside now. Wish we had off of school this week, my girls are going to love this!
It probably won't last, looks like the temp is going to raise in the next couple of days.

Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 11:30:08 AM I guess I have a different take on the "first snow" Having lived in Minnesota and experiencing the Halloween Blizzard a while ago where it snowed over three feet in about a day and a half. I don't think that snow left till May! We have a inch or snow on the ground here now and I'm delighted it is melting: ) JoAnn

Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 09:36:02 AM How exciting, Deb!! We got a teensy bit of flurries a couple weekends ago - just enough to thrill us with the fact that winter has arrived. It came pretty quickly to Arkansas this year, and I love it. Hope your toes stay nice & toasty - have fun!
