We have a few Woodpeckers, the BIG ones Pileated. We also have been hearing a screech owl in the evenings right outside the window. I love waking up in the middle of the night and hearing the Great Horned owls whoooing. We hear turkeys once in awhile but havent seen them. And I saw my first Ring necked Pheseant stanidng on the side of the road saturday.

How neat! Our neighbor has huge pine trees in his front yard. Last winter just after the thaw we were finding owl pellets in his front yard. Haven't found any since or heard any sounds of an owl.

I JUST heard a screech owl the other night - maybe my first ever. What a voice from such a little dude! Have also see a pair of pileated woodpeckers lately, and cardinals again, too. I love to watch the seasons change by the birds.
