Posted - Jul 03 2007 : 10:08:13 AM I could site beside a burbling creek *all day.* Seriously - to me it is the most relaxing sound on earth. Not rushing water, not the silence of a stream...but a honest-to-goodness burbling creek.
Our family took an excursion to Apple River Canyon in nortwestern IL earlier this year. The Apple River within the state park is my current *FAVE* burbling creek. It isn't terribly deep - maybe 2 feet - but it is rocky and creates that wonderful sound. If I could, I would pitch a tent and stay there indefinately! ~ Kaylyn

Posted - Jul 04 2007 : 7:24:03 PM Oh My gosh! I love the sound of a burbling creek! It can be almost a happy sound- and so relaxing! We have a great little creek by our cabin that is amazing to sit by! There is even a small 4 foot waterfall and a place where the trees overhang and there is a log to sit on. :) I love it!

Ahhhh...yes! The peace of a canoe slicing through a calm lake, or burbling as it slices the choppiness of a river. Of course, *The Boyz* need to be quiet for the full enjoyment to be effective. But hey, I'll take Boyz noise anyday over "there's *NUTHIN'* to do here, mom!" As long as they're enjoying themselves and learning something in the journey.

Posted - Jul 03 2007 : 1:07:07 PM We got a bunch of rain last week, and our little farm creek became a burbler again! I love this sound too. I also love the sound of water burbling on an aluminum canoe/boat hull. Heaven!
