When you go camping, do you follow the Pack it in, Pack it out practice?

I try to leave my wilderness areas as pristine as I possibly can. I try to practice low impact camping by making sure that I always pack out what I packed in. If it can't burn completely in the fire I don't burn it. I also don't burn anything that is going to release nasty gasses into the air.

One of the reasons I really love MaryJanes food (other than the taste of course) is that it really fits in with low-impact camping.

Has anyone else used MaryJane's food on a camping trip? I definitely find her food more convenient than what I grew up packing on camping trips!

Here is a brief article about low-impact camping that I thought we might all enjoy.

Elizaray: Thanks for the endorsement of MJ's food! I didn't take any last time, but I am going to place a bulk order in the next few weeks then package up 4-person servings for our family.

My oldest son and I have both earned our Leave No Trace badges through Cub Scouts. Very similar in philosophy to PII-PIO, the idea is that we must leave all of nature intact just as we found it. My camping/trail mantra is the famous quote by Jawaharal Nehru:

Take only pictures.
Leave only footprints.
Kill only time.

We definitely follow the Nehru mantra, too. Often end up packing out a bunch of previous campers' crap as well. I can't wait to try more of MJ's food - seems every time I look, she's got more amazing goodies (oooh, we'll stock up on a bulk order for our Yellowstone trip!).

Here's the Backcountry Food link, just in case: http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/dept.asp?dept_id=38

I don't think that we are ever going to take anything else on our backpacking trips. And how else are you going to have brownies in the back woods!!
