Growing Food and Justice for All Initiative Logo Design Contest
The Growing Food and Justice for All Initiative is a new initiative aimed at dismantling racism and empowering low-income and communities of color through sustainable and local agriculture. This comprehensive network views dismantling racism as a core principal which brings together social change agents from diverse sectors working to bring about new, healthy and sustainable food systems and supporting and building multicultural leadership in impoverished communities throughout the world.
The vision for this initiative is to establish a powerful network of individuals, organizations and community based entities all working toward a food secure and just world.
This initiative needs a logo, which will convey these things. Anyone is welcomed and encouraged to submit designs. The winning design will be selected by an online vote, and the winner will receive credit for the design online and a scholarship to The Growing Food and Justice for All Conference in Fall 2008 in Milwaukee.
Please feel encouraged to submit designs on paper and if selected we can help digitalize the image for use on a web site and printed materials.
The submission deadline is February 1st.
Designs can be submitted to agodshalk@yahoo.com in GIF format with Logo Design in the subject line. Hard copy designs can be sent to:
