We're headed out in a few weeks to Montreal River Harbour. We'll leave our car behind and pack our gear onto a boat to be carried over to an island. We'll spend a week there. Only a lodge and 4 remote cabins. We plan on spending 2 nights in a remote cabin - the furthest one from the lodge is 27 miles! Small lodge - so there won't be a lot of people around.
We'll hike to remote waterfalls, fish and just enjoy nature. Really looking forward to this trip!
Deb- Wow! What a vacation! It sounds great! We have a cabin in the mountains but it does have neighbors within a half mile unfortunatly. However I don't get up there as often as I would like. Maybe next weekend!!
I agree! It's about 3.5 hours away though and we are on a pretty strict budget. Maybe this fall when Finances will be a bit smoother! :) Right now we get our outdoors fix by driving half an hour a couple times a week to visit the horse up in some closer mountains. My soul sings when we are out there. I love it!!
We had an incredible trip! It truly was an adventure. We hiked, canoed, boated, saw incredible waterfalls. Swam at the bottom of waterfalls. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. My kids are asking when we can go back!
