We just got an e-mail from the Spokane Mushroom Club that said the first morel (three very small ones nearby) in the Spokane area has been found. Ties the record for the earliest. This is very exciting to us in the North Country--truly a sign that winter is over. JoAnn
Can't imagine how cool it would be to live somewhere where there's morels. I'm able to enjoy field mushrooms and puffballs here, but it's not the same.
