We experienced a massive temperature drop this past weekend - went from 80ish to 40s and teens at night! Sad to say, local fruit growers are doomed. The frost killed flowers far and wide. Lucky for us, we planted our garden late & don't have any trees old enough to bear fruit yet (except our little bitty mulberry which looks glum).
This weird weather is bad news for wildlife, too, since the acorn crop & other wild edibles have probably been hit hard.
Looks like we may be filling feeders through the summer.

Oh yes, the birdies have been hitting our feeders hard the last few weeks. And we put our oranges and apples too. The songbirds love them!!!

We just got 7 inches of snow last nite and I guess we are in for a potentially sever noreaster for sunday. I have 180 plants growing in a spare room and I want Spring so badly.
