I know I've been missing out alot around here. The problem with out there women is they are usually "out there" and not at home on their computer! Busy winter, skiing daily, snowshoeing and just plain having fun! We were in a nordic skiing endurance race, I think I'm nearly recovered, but fifteen miles is a distance for me in a short afternoon on my old decrepid legs (spelling!)

So hello everyone, I'll try to catch up on all your adventures....

Sounds awesome, Jo! We had 2 good snows down here in the southland this year, and it made me want to buy some cross country skis for next winter - just in case!!

What's your favorite brand(s) of winter wear?

You would laugh if you saw our garage wall! I think I'll take a picture and post it. We have 14 pairs of skis, please don't gasp! there is a use for all of them. We probably have every kind of pack known to man. Little packs for little skis, big packs for backcountry skiing. We have peeps and shovels (for avalanche safety). We have Danner boots for really cold snow hiking, and light ones for hunting. Gear is my husband's middle name. We have radios for yakking at each other when we're on different parts of the mountain. HUNDREDS of maps. No gps yet, we're kind of map purists, but I think Paul has one on his wish list. Two kayaks, and two kits for awesome kayaks from PYGMY in Port Townsend. Take a look at this!

of course I could use a new chair, but how can I afford one with all this outdoor stuff.......... I'm laughing here.

I think we should put together a Maryjane outback tour if you ask me!

Ha!!! Those kayaks are AWESOME. When are you planning to tackle them?

Port Townsend is such a neat place - bought some good books & ate some fabulous halibut there a couple times.

PS
A MaryJane "Outbound" Excursion is a GREAT idea!
